Gloria Martínez is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Seville. He has previously worked at various national universities and research centres (IESA-CSIC, Pablo de Olavide University, Centro de Estudios Andaluces, Loyola University) and has been a visiting researcher at Nottingham University, London School of Economics and Political Science, and Georgetown University, among others.

Doctor with European Mention and Special Doctorate Award (UNED, 2013), Master of International Development Cooperation Management and Bachelor of Political Sciences and Sociology (University of Granada).

Its main research lines focus on the phenomenon of corruption and democratic quality, parliamentary elites and, more recently, political socialization and active citizenship.
